Bangkok Bangkok Yai Condominiums

Condos in Bangkok Yai

Primarily a local mixed-use type of working district, typical of much of the western areas of Bangkok, although the advent of two MRT lines may change this in the coming years. There is a large naval presence (offices, admin centres) plus the ever-present riverside temples in the area.

Location within Bangkok

West of The Chao Phraya River, and south of Bangkok Noi, the southern boundary is a tributary/klong of the main River.

BTS/MRT stations

There are two MRT lines, one east to west (Itsaraphap) and the other north to south from the interchange at Tha Phra to CHaran 13 and north.

Other main transport links

The Naowa-Chamnian bridge is a major road distributor taking traffic into and out of Bangkok city, and there is, of course, passenger and business traffic on the River and klongs (waterways).

Major shopping areas

Extensive street side shopping with various clusters around the district.

Recreational features

There are few recreational features as this is primarily a working residential/commercial/governmental working district.

Main condos in Bangkok Yai

There are few modern high-rise condos in the area but it remains to be seen if the new MRT lines will change this in the coming years.

Notable developments in Bangkok Yai

Given the nature of the district, it may be that the only notable new developments will be government, naval or institutionally related, but the district may change with the new MRT lines.
